Organ Oracles 11: Tim Hartman, Transplant Athlete (The Netherlands)

Born in Haarlem (The Netherlands, that is) Tim had a normal life with friends and family. While working system administrator and running often, a mid-day visit to the neighborhood clinic led to a diagnosis of kidney failure then a trip to the hospital where he was put on the fast track to receive a new kidney from his father. Tim maintained a regular running routine on dialysis (after a month) which led to Tim running the New York City Marathon
